Chesla Standard Poodles ~ Our Puppies
At Chesla, there is a focus on quality rather than quantity. Generally, no more than one litter is planned per year using fully tested adults. We do keep a contact list to announce a litter arrival. If you cannot wait for the next planned litter, please contact me anyway to see if I can refer you to another reputable breeder who may have puppies available.
Please feel free to contact us to place an inquiry. Serious inquiries must provide Chesla Standard Poodles with two references (one must be your veterinarian) and participate in an interview to ensure puppy and family will be the right match. A signed sales contract with spay/neuter agreement and $300 deposit will hold a puppy until it is fully weaned at age 8 weeks. All puppies from this litter will be sold on limited registration to pet homes only. Our puppies have tails docked, dewclaws removed, deworming completed, and up to date on vaccinations before they go home.
*** The breeding between Gabby and Styx ( Ch Nightwind Renegade CD, RE, JWW) has been repeated! The litter arrived 6/4/10. Gabby delivered 11 beautiful puppies! 7 males and 4 females. Sorry no creams! These puppies will be silver, blue or black to be determined at about 6 weeks with more certainty. 3 puppies have been reserved from this litter.

GREEN COLOR MALE - Gibbs
Here is a photo of me saying good-by to Gibbs who is getting ready to fly home to New Hampshire to live with the Luna Family. They fell in love with him instantly! His stunning good looks and easy going nature will make him a neighborhood favorite I am sure!!!
10/31/09 Photo of Gibbs at 14 weeks January 2010 - Gibbs almost 6 months old.
Gibbs is maturing into such a fine poodle boy! His family adores him! He often travels with them on weekends to see family and from what I hear...................he is a most welcomed guest everywhere he goes!!! His groomer loves working with him as he is such a sweet and cooperative customer! The photo of the poodle in the snow on our welcome page is Gibbs. Such a great candid photo of a poodle at play!
THANK YOU TO THE LUNA FAMILY FOR LOVING THIS BOY! HE IS SO HANDSOME! HE IS BLESSED HAVING A WONDERFUL HOME AND FAMILY TO LOVE!!!
BLUE COLLAR MALE - Sligo
This is blue collar boy. I had originally planned to keep him to evaluate his show potential; however, due to personal reasons, having a puppy in the house right now is not good timing. It would be to his benefit to be in a home where he can get more attention then what I can provide him at this time. He is very smart, loves to play, crate trained, up to date on shots and heartworm prevention plan. He has been well socialized and tolerates handling. He loves a bath and does well with all grooming tasks! Right now his color is black but he may turn blue??? Nice coat and structure. Puppy shot series has been completed 10/17/09. - SOLD 11/5/09. As soon as I get updated photos from his owners, I will post them here.
PINK COLLAR FEMALE - Freyja
Freyja loves playing outdoors with her littermates and the big poodles. This gorgeous girl will be flying home soon with her family to California.
Freyja at age 6 months! She looks so much like her grandmother did at this age.
Beautiful! Her groomer says she has an exceptional coat and Freyja is easy to
work with. She lives with 1st time standard poodle owners and is such a delight
to them! They often comment about how easy she is to train!
More photos of Freyja above and to the right were taken at approximately 7 months of age. In the natural lighting you can see her color starting to blue. In addition to her beautiful appearance, her owners are impressed with her intelligence and comment how easy she is to train. They have successfully completed puppy kindergarten and looking forward to the next obedience session. She already knows to go to her spot when the doorbell rings and awaits the okay to come greet visitors. What a well trained girl she is!
THANK YOU STEVE & LINDA FOR WELCOMING FREYJA INTO YOUR HOME AND HEARTS! SHE IS MATURING INTO A LOVELY GIRL! WHAT EXCELLENT PARENTS YOU ARE!
RED COLLAR FEMALE - Shelby
Shelby left to go home with Sara and Steve on 9/11/09. I dubbed her the princess at our house because of her refined appearance. I look forward to seeing her grow into an elegant looking poodle girl! In this photo of her at age 14 weeks, you can already see her coat starting to "blue" out. Shelby is still the princess in her forever home! Her mom & dad just love her to pieces! They often comment on her sweet personality, athletic abililty and intelligence! She vacationed in Florida with her family this winter and had a fabulous time.....lucky girl! One of Shelby's favorite things to do is meet with other canine friends to romp and play!
Below is an updated photo of Shelby at age 9 months! Still the princess! THANK YOU STEVE & SARA FOR SHARING YOUR HOME AND YOUR HEARTS WITH SHELBY! SHE IS SO BLESSED TO HAVE YOU BOTH!!! AWESOME POODLE PARENTS YOU ARE!
Not sure which puppy this was but what a great candid photo of puppy and Aunt Egypt playing! BOTTOMS UP!
